Barack Obama “Heartbroken” Over Jennifer Hudson Family Shooting

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama says he is “heartbroken” over the double homicide that claimed the lives of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and older brother in Chicago Friday.

“Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy and we want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” the Illinois senator said in a statement Saturday. “We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”

Last August, Jennifer, who won an Oscar for her role in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, performed the National Anthem during the Democratic National Convention at the request of the Obama campaign.

Motorola, the world's third-biggest phone maker, has unveiled a touch-sensitive to compete with Apple's iPhone.


Motorola, which has been losing ground in the cell phone market as it has failed to come up with a hit phone to replace its once-lauded Razr, said the Krave ZN4 would go on sale on Tuesday in the US for US$150 (NZ$237) after rebates to customers who sign a two-year contract with US carrier Verizon Wireless.

The Krave has a see-through cover that flips open to uncover a touchscreen virtual keypad, but users can also access popular features such as mobile television and navigation by pressing their fingers on the cover without opening the phone.

For several years Motorola has sold a touchscreen phone called the Ming that has been popular in China, but it has focused on phones with physical keypads in the United States, where it is the market leader.

The popularity of iPhone – a touchscreen phone sold exclusively through the No 1 US mobile service AT&T, has led rivals such as Motorola and Verizon Wireless, owned by Verizon Communications and Vodafone, to come up with touchscreen alternatives.

British Clubs Reject Jay-Z Appearance Fee

Tough economic times have London clubs turning down live performances by Jay-Z. Clubs in the British city have been turning down appearances from the rap mogul because they cannot afford his fee.
“Representatives for the star, in town to watch his NBA team, the New Jersey Nets take on Miami Heat at The O2 on Sunday night, initially wanted $50,000 for him to host a party,” TheLondonPaper blog reports. “Even though that figure has now gone down to $14,000, no clubs are interested.”

“No club is willing to stump up the cash. At this rate he might even have to party for free,” says an insider.

young jeezy did 350 his first week and they say the game is tired of streets music well the fans and the world ain't.... It ain't to late to be REAL wake up......

T.I. sells allmost 600 thousand first week... good money

The King is rightfully back on his throne according to Soundscan. T.I.'s Paper Trail wheeled in close to 570,000 copies it's first week, landing him the number one spot.

Game, and Jeezy remain in the top 20, as each are nearing their way towards gold. Wayne also remains strong with the Tha Carter III by 34,000 this week.

What came as a surprise to many, was the presence of LA Rapper Murs. His album "Murs For President" cracked the top 50, entering at #43, selling close to 13,000 records.

Things appear glommy for Mr. "G.O.A.T." LL Cool J as he appears to be slipping on the charts. After a releasing his album just a month ago, LL's Exit 13 has only been able to pull in 75,000 records.

Will T.I. continue his reign on top for another week?
